Butterflies, Zebra and Caramel: The Bags at the RHOP Season 11 Picnic Table

Stacey Rusch's matte black top-handle bag standing upright on a wooden picnic table, with a rolled handle and silver crystal butterflies, next to Wendy Osefo's zebra-print pouch, on The Real Housewives of Potomac.

A park, a picnic table and a peace offering. On the RHOP Season 11 premiere, Wendy brought Tia to sit down with Stacey, and the table ended up hosting three bags with nothing in common except good taste.

Stacey's butterflies. Stacey's bag looks like a Sophia Webster Mariposa-style top handle: a matte black flap with a single rolled handle and two crystal butterflies perched right where the handle attaches. Hers has silver crystal butterflies, and that version isn't on Sophia Webster's site right now. The closest current match is the Mariposa Mini Shoulder Bag in black patent with gold butterflies, at $795. Same silhouette, warmer hardware.

Why it works: A strapless navy dress is about as clean as it gets, so the bag gets to be the jewelry. The butterflies are the detail, and the plain black flap keeps them from turning into a craft project.

Wendy's zebra. Sitting on the table beside Wendy is a soft, gathered pouch in black-and-white zebra print. It looks like the Bottega Veneta The Pouch in zebra-print nappa. That one is discontinued and was originally about $2,950, and there's no live listing for it right now. Worth keeping an eye on preloved sites. Against her pale yellow jacket, it's the loudest thing at the table, in the best way.

Tia’s python. Tia arrived with what looks like the Bottega Veneta The Pouch in python, the same gathered shape as Wendy’s, in caramel and chocolate scales. Up close the texture is all snakeskin, which makes it the most quietly dramatic thing at the table. It sits easily against her olive jacket: warm, earthy, no effort visible. Bottega made The Pouch in python a few seasons back, and there’s no new one on its site now, so this is a preloved hunt. Fashionphile has sold one in Naturale python, so it’s worth setting an alert.

Two Pouches and a pair of butterflies at one picnic table. Bottega would approve.

Closest match (Stacey): Sophia Webster Mariposa Mini Shoulder Bag, black patent and gold, $795 — Shop at Sophia Webster

Tia’s python Pouch isn’t sold new right now. Fashionphile, Rebag and The RealReal see it now and then, so set an alert there.

Wendy's zebra Pouch is discontinued with no live listing, so same goes for this one.

Spotted the silver-butterfly version somewhere? Send it in. 💋
