Get the Look: Daisy Toye’s Straw Tote

Episode 6 opens with the cast at a tropical villa, welcome drinks in hand. Daisy Toye showed up ready for vacation: a sun hat, a sage tee, black leggings, an olive jacket tied at the waist and a rattan basket tote on her shoulder.

The tote is the part worth copying. It's a rectangular woven basket with thin tan leather handles, a wide black leather band around the middle and a gold bit across the front. We couldn't confirm who makes it. The bit looks like Gucci's horsebit, but it doesn't match any Gucci straw bag we could find. So consider this one unconfirmed and treat the picks below as a way to recreate it.

Why it works: A plain basket is beachy. Add a black band and a bit of gold and it looks smart enough to carry anywhere.

Get the look: Look for natural straw or rattan, tan leather handles and some kind of darker trim or brass hardware. J.Crew and Loeffler Randall cover the basics for under $250. For the designer version of the idea, Gucci's raffia Horsebit 1955 puts the same bit on a straw bag. It's a cousin of Daisy's bag, not the bag itself.
